The gaiwan, or 盖碗, is a lidded cup used in the brewing and service of tea. It is often taken to symbolize the unity of peoples and nature. This is a personal practice of trying new things, making things with one’s own hands, and thinking about how we (specifically me) interact and take up space in the world.
